Cameron-Plint Model TE-77
Reciprocating Sliding Wear Tester

This larger-scale, 'heavy-duty' version of the custom-designed reciprocating friction and wear tester permits dry or lubricated tests at room temperature or with heated lubricants. Various contact geometries, including ring / linear-contact, have been used. Its behavior has been compared with that of seven similar machines in an international round-robin testing program led by the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Recently, ASTM Standard G-133 was approved for use on this machine.
