Mission

The Materials Processing & Manufacturing Group of the Materials Science & Technology Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory performs basic research through the processing of a wide range of metallic, ceramic, structural, and functional materials.  The group advances the "Process Science" through development of innovative processing methods, process modeling coupled with experimental research, and operation of unique materials processing facilities.
