CFCC Composites Code - Property Prediction and Stress Analysis

Stress/Strength Analysis

Once a composite has been defined and its properties computed, the user may input loads (or displacements) and temperature gradients in orer to conduct a composite stress analysis. The code will output both bundle or ply stress and strain as well as constituent stress and strain. Furthermore, the user may select a suitable failure criterion so that the code may predict initial failures. For uni-directional and cross-ply laminates under generalized in-plane loads, the user may also elect to conduct a full damage simulation, the results of which will predict composite non-linear stress-strain behavior and damage history.
